Motherhood and teenagers

June 4th, 2007 by paulacook

I Love my daughter (14.5 going on 25.5) but some day she makes it so hard. With babies and todlers its load of work but that was so easy compared to this mental work with teenagers. Even though our kids are 6 to 15 i still meet once a month with my orignal mums group for dinner and it was last night……always the BEST night out and a great break. Last night was a fantastic meal and we laughed so much my tummy ached. Came home feeling refreshed and with more energy. Today is surpose to be my day off but as a self empoyed person a day off is rare. Even though ths shop is closed i am here working hard on my computer, well i will be after this post…..

So today i am going to and be gratefeul for -

  • Having a daughter and having her keep me on my toes
  • Be grateful for all my girlfriends and there friendships
  • Be glad i have a place to vent
  • Having my own studio that i can hide away from the world in
  • Have loads of paperwork….because it means i have a healthy business

Have a great day

WOW - I have wondered if my mother’s group would last the distance, but we are all seeming to go our seperate ways now unfortunately. I did meet a girl a couple of weeks ago whose mother’s group has been meeting for 10 years!

And a great idea with the list of things to be grateful for - we should all do that more often. :)
